The Philos Project is searching for a qualified Chief of Staff to assist the Director of a new initiative called “Christians for Armenia.” This full-time position offers a competitive salary, healthcare benefits, and a hybrid work structure based in NYC or DC. The Chief of Staff will oversee the administrative and structural integrity of the new organization starting from inception. The Chief of Staff will serve as a thought partner to the Director on programming while ensuring the strategic management of the Director’s time. This person will build and maintain systems that ensure the new organization’s success. The Chief of Staff will report directly to the Director of Christians for Armenia while working closely with the Chief of Staff, Deputy Director, and Executive Director of The Philos Project.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director in the creation of a new 501c3 aimed at building a strong base of support for Armenia and Artsakh among America Christians

Provide administrative support in planning programs, trips, and campaigns from start to completion

Oversee systems for internal communication, data management, and administrative operations of the organization

Work closely with business administrators and contractors to ensure the operational integrity of the organization

Assist the Director in implementing his or her strategy for fundraising and development

Assist the Director in implementing the Christians for Armenia media campaign targeting a variety of print, audio, video, and digital platforms

Serve as a liaison to the Director and a representative for Christians for Armenia, ensuring that the Director’s strategic priorities are understood and executed

Assist Director on key deliverables to be met within the first year:

Media campaign, international trip, project launch event, and church campaign

Create written content (proposals, one-pagers, email copy, etc.) related to Christians for Armenia

Report directly to the Director of Christians for Armenia and the leadership team of The Philos Project

Create and submit regular reports to the Chief of Staff of The Philos Project, and maintain effective lines of communication with The Philos Project leadership team

Requirements:

Four-year Bachelor’s degree required

Personal familiarity with the Christian faith

Preferred familiarity with Armenian history, culture, and identity

3+ years of professional experience in an administrative or operations role or a position that proves experience related to the responsibilities above

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving mentality, and exceptional collaborative skills

Shown interest in building from the ground floor and growing alongside the project

Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for The Philos Project’s mission
