Welcome to the Core Platform team at Workday! Our organization develops code at the very heart of Workday’s cloud-based software platform. As a member of this team, you'll work with exceptionally innovative and experienced engineers that have built highly robust, performant and scalable services. This position requires passion, courage, tenacity, imagination and a willingness to see beyond what is ordinarily possible.
About The Role
Strategic Initiatives Planning and Execution
- Support the CTO in developing and driving critical initiatives and programs that can span not only across the Product & Technology organization but also across other parts of the Workday business
- Help set and lead strategy for Core Platform organization and support SVP in defining, articulating, and altering strategy in accordance with company-wide objectives
- Conduct research for key projects, including, but not limited to, investment opportunities, innovation opportunities, technology processes, and overall business improvements
- Advise leaders and key product teams on overall Strategy direction, presentations and initiatives
Operations Management
- Serve as the primary liaison for critical Corporate Functions including People & Purpose (HR), Talent Acquisition (Recruiting), Finance, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development (M&A), etc
- Drive and own adoption and execution of OKRs across the leadership team tying to overall Product & Technology and Workday-wide OKRs
- Support executive reporting on key risks, issues, budget, and metrics
- Promote operational excellence: identifying and driving opportunities to optimize our organizational systems and processes with a focus on agility
Communications
- Organize and run key meetings within Core Platform including Staff meetings, Leadership Offsites, Town Halls, etc
- Establish and own internal Communications strategy within the organization, across Workday and to external partners
- Cultivate close relationships with and gain the trust of senior partners across Product & Technology, as well as the Customer Experience, Marketing, and Sales organizations in order to align business objectives and work effectively together
- Support SVP/CTO with preparation for key customer/prospect meetings, internal presentations in partnership with Executive Communications and Solutions Marketing teams
- Act as key point of contact for SVP/CTO and P&T organization communicating our strategy and differentiation for Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence
Talent Management and Leadership Support
- Support the CTO in building and maintaining a successful technology organization, including recruitment, retention, and professional development
- Assist in performance management, goal setting, and succession planning for the technology team
- Serve as representative for SVP/CTO in various meetings, and forums as appropriate
- Advise on confidential matters and maintain a high level of discretion
About You
Basic Qualifications- Sr Director, Program Management
- 8+ years of relevant experience in product management, business operations, strategy, consulting, program management or equivalent
- BA, BS, or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred
Basic Qualifications- Director, Program Management
- 6+ years of relevant experience in product management, business operations, strategy, consulting, program management or equivalent
- BA, BS, or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred

- A deep understanding of the technology industry, trends, and standard methodologies
- Experience in working closely with executive-level leadership
- Ability to learn quickly within a fast-paced team, including highly technical topics

Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The base pay range for the primary location of this job is listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, future potential and internal pay parity. Base Pay Min to Max Range: $193,700 - $290,800
