The Job Description

That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

As the Chief of Staff, you will be the right-hand person to our Head of People, driving strategic business planning, support and direct change management throughout the Employee Experience organization.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive in escalating and resolving potential issues by calling them to the attention of the department head and identifying potential solutions.
  • Drive a cohesive approach aligning to Change Management activities including Communications planning, training and stakeholder management.
  • Collaborate with the Employee Experience leadership team to define, prepare and communicate organization plans, including strategy, staffing, and development plans.
  • Support the Head of People in preparation of board, executive committee, and presentations.
  • Create and publish progress against plans. Plan and lead planning sessions with the management team.
  • Analyze and report performance based on strategies and business goals. Recommend areas needing improvement.
  • Continue to enhance transparency (dashboards) on performance.

The Specifics

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with emphasis in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related area preferred
  • 7+ years of proven HR experience, predominantly in a leadership role, with a demonstrated advancement and progression of your HR knowledge and responsibilities
  • Experience working with all departments of HR such as Benefits, Talent Acquisition, HRIS Systems, Employee Experience, Talent Support and Organizational Development
  • Demonstrated competence in high volume employee relations and people management
  • Strong project management skills working on various projects at any given time and aligning departments on timeline and priority
  • Flexible and high tolerance for ambiguity
  • Able to work independently and within a team to achieve results
  • Strong business acumen, consulting, analysis, communication, presentation, negotiation, conflict management and problem-solving skills.
