Applicants must have full-time remote work capability and in-person availability in New York, NY and Greenwich, CT.
The Chief of Staff will be an integral member of Ergo’s leadership team. The candidate must be comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with the potential for unpredictable hours. This is a great opportunity to rapidly absorb rare insights on compelling issues and build a remarkable skill set performing a range of critical roles and responsibilities, including:
Office of the CEO
- Partner with the CEO to execute the company's strategic initiatives
- Ensure that the CEO and Partners are supported to spend time where most valuable through preemptive problem solving, seamless logistics organization, and regular email and calendar management
- Support the CEO in the preparation of meetings and executive presentations
- Sounding board for senior leadership and share strategic recommendations
- Oversee and work closely with Ergo’s front office
Project and People Management
- Ensure implementation and regular reporting (WBRs) on objectives and key results (OKRs) across the firm’s multiple business units
- Organize and manage multiple Ergo events from start to finish: conferences, retreats, small groups, and dinners
- Support various company leaders on new initiatives or products as needed, and build new processes to increase efficiency
- Seek out opportunities to improve communication and collaboration across the firm
- Lead important aspects of new hire onboarding and ensure excellent company culture
- Collaborate with accounting on invoicing and payment processing
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis on business and/or international affairs and have 8+ years’ of relevant work experience.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in geopolitics and global macro economic issues. Self-starters with demonstrated passion and drive are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must demonstrate:

- Solid facility with Microsoft Office (familiarity with Adobe Design Suite is a plus)
- A minimum GPA of 3.5 in college and/or graduate school
