Thriftify is a fast-growing early-stage start-up based in Dublin, Ireland. We are an innovative online marketplace that connects charity shops with buyers, promoting sustainable fashion and reducing waste. At Thriftify, we have a bold vision for the future of the sustainable fashion industry, and we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Staff to join our team. As an early-stage start-up, we have a tremendous amount of work ahead of us in enhancing our business operations, structures, and processes. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our growth trajectory.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate closely with the executive team to develop and refine Thriftify's strategic direction. Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive landscape, and industry trends. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to drive our vision forward.

2. Operational Excellence: Lead efforts to enhance our business operations, structures, and processes. Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to streamline workflows, optimize efficiency, and implement best practices across all functions.

3. Project Management: Oversee and drive key strategic initiatives and projects. Develop project plans, set goals, allocate resources, and track progress. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery. Sample projects include; raising capital and grant applications, developing staffing bus-ops processes and procedures and new market research.

4. Organizational Development: Work closely with the executive team to define and evolve our organizational structure. Help shape our culture, values, and talent development strategies. Drive initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent.

5. Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data analytics to drive informed decision-making. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and identify areas of improvement. Generate actionable insights to guide strategic initiatives.

6. Stakeholder Management: Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including charity shop partners, investors, and vendors. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster effective communication, alignment, and collaboration.

7. Change Management: Drive organizational change initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Champion new ideas, processes, and technologies. Facilitate change management programs and provide guidance and support to teams.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field (MBA preferred).

- Proven experience in a Chief of Staff, strategic operations, or similar role within an early-stage start-up environment.

- Strong understanding of the sustainable fashion industry and its challenges.

- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and implement scalable processes.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.

- Proficient in data analysis and comfortable working with analytics tools.

- High level of adaptability, resilience, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

- Experience in stakeholder management and driving cross-functional collaboration.

- Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
