Topl is a Series A blockchain startup based in Austin that is helping companies track, tokenize, and monetize their sustainable impact claims. Topl is currently hiring for a Chief of Staff who will sit on our executive leadership team and function as the right hand to our recently appointed CEO. We are looking for a strategic thinker with deep operational experience who will act as a partner to our executive leadership team in executing on key focus areas for the business, while simultaneously working to improve collaboration and communication throughout the organization at large. Furthermore, with several significant projects on the horizon over the next twelve months, the ideal candidate will be equipped with a strong project management background and a willingness to jump in to assist and/or lead our teams on special projects as they arise.


  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and contributing member of Topl’s executive leadership team
  • Facilitate company-wide strategy and planning on evolving basis
  • Monitor daily operations throughout organization and address potential issues if/when they arise
  • Prepare and manage communications on behalf of CEO and executive leadership team
  • Develop and track annual company-wide OKRs
  • Develop productive meeting agendas and lead relevant meetings
  • Identify pain points throughout the organization and optimize organizational processes and procedures to improve efficiencies across teams
  • Manage Board of Directors and investor relations
  • Partner with the CEO and Head of Strategy on all aspects of fundraising including building pitch decks, identifying leads, relationship development with VCs, tracking of efforts, etc.
  • Prepare various internal and external assets including board decks, town hall presentations, and executive decks
  • Work in coordination with finance team in oversight and tracking of annual budget
  • Manage human resources function on an interim basis including oversight of our PEO and managing payroll, development of best practices for recruiting and hiring, and people ops
  • Plan and host company events including board meetings, annual all-hands offsites, and leadership retreats
  • Play active role in continuous development of Topl culture including approach to education, team-building activities, DEI-related initiatives, and upholding of company values
  • Drive special projects with cross-functional teams as they arise
  • Represent company as required, including at industry events and conferences
  • Projects and responsibilities will be varied and continue to evolve over time as new business needs emerge

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Professional Experience

  • 5+ years professional experience in strategy or operations role or 3+ years as a Chief of Staff\
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business or related field
  • Demonstrated ability in building successful teams
  • 3-6 years of experience planning and leading strategic initiatives, including annual OKR planning
  • Experience managing human resources operations, whether directly or in partnership with a Head of People
  • Experienced in financial analysis, budget planning, and management
  • Advanced project management and reporting skills
  • Prior experience managing direct reports

Bonus Qualifications

  • Previous experience scaling teams in startups; extra points for having done so within the Web3 / blockchain space
  • Fascinated by historical and evolving trends in blockchain, NFT, DAOs, DeFi, ReFI, and eager to participate in the future
