We are on a quest to find a dynamic and visionary Chief of Staff to join our team in California and drive AutoCAD's strategic direction forward.

As the Chief of Staff reporting directly to the Vice President of AutoCAD, you will act as a strategic advisor and an operational powerhouse. Your mission will be to orchestrate strategic initiatives, foster an agile organizational culture, and streamline operations to amplify our impact. This role is not just about managing projects; it's about leading change and setting the stage for our continued success in a highly competitive landscape. This is a hybrid role, reporting into the San Francisco office.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Spearhead the strategy and planning cycles of AutoCAD, enhancing our business context and ensuring alignment across all teams. Lead critical executive meetings and workshops, synthesizing diverse perspectives to craft cohesive and actionable strategies

• Operational Excellence: Design and refine cross-functional processes to boost organizational agility and performance. You'll be instrumental in crafting meetings that are not just informative, but transformational

• Project Leadership: Take the helm on strategic projects ranging from product innovation to cultural initiatives. Your leadership will ensure these projects not only start strong but also cross the finish line with remarkable results

• Executive Partnership: Serve as the trusted counsel to the VP and senior leadership, providing insightful analysis and representation in key discussions. Your strategic acumen will ensure that the leadership's vision is effectively communicated and implemented across the board

• Communication: Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans to enhance the VP's visibility both internally and externally. This includes sourcing speaking opportunities, collaborating with external vendors, and strategically increasing the VP's industry profile. You will be responsible for crafting clear, impactful messages and managing high-level communications that align with our strategic goals

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; MBA preferred. Previous consulting experience strongly preferred, particularly with top-tier firms
• Minimum 10 years of experience working in the technology sector, with a strong preference for candidates who have held similar strategic roles at FAANG companies
• Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives within a SaaS environment

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $155,000 and $250,690. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
