About the Company:

NockNock is a remote-first Silicon Valley startup that has already raised over $3M to create a two-sided consumer marketplace - in the vein of Uber, Airbnb, eBay, Instacart - in a vast space, with a TAM of $10-25B / year and a multitude of use cases. Founded by an entrepreneur with a successful track record and prior exit, the company already has a team of a dozen experienced executives and professionals eager to disrupt the housing and office space sector.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced professional administrator to join our team as Chief of Staff, working closely with our CEO and entire team to ensure smooth operation of the company. Duties will include:

  • Budgeting & finance reporting: Work closely with CEO, department heads, and bookkeeper to track spending, funding, and forecasting
  • Scheduling for CEO & international team: Quickly and efficiently schedule external and internal meetings with participants across the US, South America, South Asia, and Europe
  • Manage hiring and onboarding of employees and contractors. Act as support system for questions regarding compensation, insurance, taxes, payments, vacations, hours worked, etc.
  • Be an all-seeing eye across departments to flag any concerns or problems
  • Be the main contact for communications with external agencies, stakeholders, vendors, partners, etc., and track all paperwork, payments, and deliverables
  • Track and manage stock grants to employees, contractors, and advisors, and create reports and updates upon request, working with CEO and attorneys

Required experience and skills:

  • At least five years experience as an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or Business Partner
  • Extreme attention to detail, ability to quickly absorb and filter information, and strong communication skills across all digital media
  • Heavy calendar scheduling for multiple busy individuals with experience scheduling meetings across time zones
  • Expense reporting and tracking for multiple account/card holders
  • Direct report to CEO, President, Principal, or equivalent
  • Goal-driven, extremely organized individual with experience taking initiative
  • Easily learns new software independently
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom and Adobe Acrobat

Preferred experience:

  • Background in tech, real estate, e-commerce services, and/or startups
  • Experience with forecasting for large department or company-wide forecasting
  • Knowledge of stock option grants, 83(b)s, and 409As
  • Previous use of any of the following platforms: Salesforce, Hubspot, Front, Notion, 1Password, Deel, or Prismic


  • $95,000 - $110,000 annual salary
  • Stock Options - the right candidate will receive significant stock options that, in the event of a successful exit, would likely represent a significant multiple of your cash salary
  • Employer provided health care for full-time employees


  • We are a remote-first company. You can work from anywhere in North America, with knowledge that CEO is mostly on Pacific Time.
