Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology works with large scale databases such as DB2 and SQL Server, proprietary and non-proprietary messaging software, a broad variety of vendor products, numerous financial exchanges and regulatory entities, and programming languages ranging from .Net and Java to Cobol and VB.Net.

The Candidate Will Play a Key Role In The Following

The position is for a Chief of Staff for the Morgan Stanley at Work Technology (MSWT) Practice Area Group (PAG). This person will be responsible for increasing the efficiency, marketing, presence, and image of the team.

• Supporting the ongoing integration of the MSWT group into Morgan Stanley?s processes and systems.
• Partnering with the MSWT Business Manager and leadership team on Planning and Budgeting, Organizational changes, Workforce Strategy, Recruiting, Summer Intern and Technology Analyst Program demand, etc.
• Management of the overall communications to the Morgan Stanley at Work Technology (MSWT) Practice Area Group (PAG).
• Production of Quarterly Business Review with WMT Division head and entire PAG reporting status on goals related to: Stability, Hygiene, Risk, Business Enablement and People.
• Partnership with the Wealth Management and Investment Management Technology (WMIMT) division on division-wide initiatives.
• Partnership with HR and the MSWT leadership team on Annual Promotion, Talent Rank Review and Compensation manager mapping processes
• Ownership of PAG Risk including weekly tracking of overdue Technology Accountability Program metrics and Open Action Plans coming due
• Ownership of MSWT People Engagement Program including coordination of Global Volunteer Month events
• Coordination of Annual PAG Goals Cascade
• Management of ongoing approvals for events, travel and entertainment, Green Card Sponsorship, etc.
• Employee Rewards & Recognition
• Ad hoc advice, guidance and mentorship for entire organization

Primary Skills / Must Have

• Has the ability to work on the day to day, and also be in a position to set strategy and work and influence the organization
• Self-Starter and able to work with minimum supervision
• Project Management and organization skills

Skills Desired

• Experience working in a Software development organization and/or banking / financial services experience considered and asset

Qualification / Skills Required

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication across a variety of audiences
• Can work in an extremely dynamic and fast changing environment
