Key Responsibilities The Chief of Staff will manage the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO): set agendas for key internal meetings; help prioritize among competing corporate and departmental needs; develop business plans and strategies to help the Clinical and Medical organizations meet short and long-term corporate objectives; help determine key performance indicators and how to measure team performance; continuously improve cross-functional teamwork across the organization looking for ways to improve efficiencies and processes; ensure productive external engagement and coordination.
Serves as a key partner to the CMO and the senior R&D Leadership team by leading the development of selected key tactical and operational plans to meet corporate and department goals. This will require building strong relationships across the R&D organization with special emphasis on the Clinical and Medical organizations, understanding key operational challenges faced by teams, and developing appropriate and timely solutions to address such challenges. The role will ensure that team roles and responsibilities are clear at all times, and team projects and initiatives are on an effective trajectory to achieve those goals. Another key component of the role is to ensure team capabilities continue to evolve over time as Immunocore continues to mature as an organization.
