Director of Operations

Job Description

Lead and develop a team comprised of Service Managers and support personnel to include performance operational metrics.

Focus in the Heavy Equipment Service/Repair industry

Work with direct reports to measure and manage the effectiveness of branch specific performance.

Define parameters and implement procedures to enhance and maximize the long-term profitability of Division Operations

Review and respond to Operating Metrics boards for visual management purposes.

Develop the skills of the Division management team to ensure their professional growth, customer service, and leadership skills are aligned with the company's values

Develop and administer accurate annual and longer-range budget/forecast plans with stakeholders.

Promote value-creating solutions and resolve problems, while maintaining contact with major customers within territory.

Ensure all safety programs, internal audit standards, organizational processes, company policies, etc., are adhered to across the region.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field

Minimum 5 years operations experience or 3 years’ direct industry experience

Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of services and products.

Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Understanding of how to position products against competitors.

Proficient usage of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
