Indianapolis, IN- Plant Operations Manager

Established in 1974, Quincy Recycle is a growth-oriented leader in the B2B industrial recycling space now operating eight plant locations in 5 Midwestern states. This position requires high levels of confidence, competitive drive, independent action, initiative, and a sense of urgency in supporting team members and the business processes. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and sustain a safe plant environment and culture
• Manage all commodity receiving, processing, inventory, and shipping processes
• Identify opportunities to expand or shift course quickly to maximize changing markets
• Support and manage an effective preventative maintenance program for plant equipment
• Manage a staff consisting of direct labor, maintenance and customer services associates.
• Optimize operational productivity and efficiencies while maximizing gross margin
• Support Business Development and Administrative team members in driving profitable plant performance
• Train staff as needed
• Collaborates with and works alongside the team on the plant floor.
• Minimum of 90% of time spent on the floor. This is not an office job.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field and previous P&L responsibility preferred
• 3-5 years in an operations management role preferred Warehouse/Manufacturing
• Experience with P&L responsibility preferred
• Strong leader of people and able to get buy-in from all members of the team.
• High level of confidence in making business decisions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to support maintenance functions
• Highly effective written and oral communication skills coupled with proven team development experience
• Ability to be flexible with schedule to support our day and overnight shifts.
