Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Planning, the Senior Manager, Strategy will pioneer and develop business transformation across MHUSA’s portfolio, focusing on new business ventures and revenue sources.
Key role missions:
- Gathering information about growth opportunities (data-driven transformation, alternate paths-to-purchase and consumer experiences, new brands for the portfolio)
- Translating strategy into action plans (i.e., managing MHUSA’s transformation agenda in tandem with the Snr. Transformation and Strategy Director)
- Monitoring performance
- Supporting integration of new brands to drive the organization’s transformation agenda
With an ever-changing and evolving consumer touchpoint ecosystem, this role will be responsible for understanding those shifts through insight generation and market research; identifying opportunities to serve the Moet Hennessy consumers through tangible experiences that deliver added business value; and developing the right strategies and projects to implement these changes across the different brands and properties of Moet Hennessy.

Insights & Opportunity Detection
- Lead the 3-year Strategic Growth Plan and collaborate closely with brand and commercial teams to identify growth opportunities that drive long term value
- Identify, scope, and prioritize new opportunities aligned with transformation goals, considering feasibility project factors (technological, budget, human resources, and other needs).
- In tandem with the item above, design roadmap for prioritization of opportunities, balancing short-term wins and long-term company strategy and subsequent budget implications.
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize data into easy-to-understand actionable insights & recommendations
- Support the MH USA Whitespace opportunity identification across key transformation areas: path-to-purchase; consumer experiences; omnichannel behavior; digital acceleration.
- Partner with Data & Insights team to provide qualitative and quantitative insights on MHUSA portfolio, category, competitive and consumer behavior.
- Engage and collaborate with all required Internal Stakeholders (Brand teams, Sales Teams, Centers of Excellence, BI, IT & Supply Chain) and External Stakeholders (Distributors, Retailers, Agencies) to lead strategy and influence change.
New Brand Integration
- Partner with the Sr Director of Brand Integration to define the Year 1 Launch Plan for new brands joining the MH USA portfolio (channel strategy, volumes ambitions, KPIs,).
- Lead project integration with transversal teams (Sales, Ops, IT…) to ensure smooth and seamless communication and flow of information across a variety of tools and processes.
- Monitor the integration progress by setting milestones, tracking deadlines and highlighting risks.
- Create launch pack featuring education and sales materials to be used by Commercial and Distributor teams during Year 1 to support new brand integration.
Transformation Agenda
- Create and maintain JBPs (Joint Business Plans) and Activation Calendars with the different project stakeholders, including external partners, internal management, brands, sales and other parts of the organization.
- Oversee in-flight transformation efforts, monitoring implementation progress, facilitating communication between stakeholders
Education: Undergraduate Degree required
Languages: English, working knowledge of French a plus
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience required in analytics, strategy, business development, operations or related experience
- Strong business / commercial acumen with ability to target, analyze / measure companies, programs and sales performance
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills including data mining/evaluation, with ability to synthesize and present data in an impactful way
- Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions, and develop analytical frameworks
- Proven track record and experience in building customer relationships, and deep understanding of customer specific needs (retailer, pure player, distributor (if W&S), etc.) and consumer trends (digital acceleration, ecommerce, etc.)
- Deep understanding of the retail & eCommerce space, including content, KPIs, data, best practices and trends
- Understanding of legal environment around commercial operations of Wines & Spirits in the USA
- Demonstrated understanding of the various digital levers as they apply to conversion & engagement, as well as new trends and technologies and their impact on today’s consumer’s shopping habits
- Ability to drive change and educate and influence groups
- Ability to work across functions, levels and resources, both internal and external
- Self-motivated change agent with ability to show strategic vision and tactical application and follow-through
- Excellent writing and presentation skills – must be very proficient with MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Ability to independently manage several projects in various stages and adhere to deadlines, with attention to detail
- Ability to think beyond current state and imagine a future that can be enabled through partners, ecosystems and investment

- Global savoir faire – as evidenced by having worked or been responsible for influencing decision beyond North America. The ideal candidate will be sensitive and responsive to social and cultural differences
- Deep, broad, and current consumer and/or alc bev packaged goods experience. This person must also have the appropriate awareness and understanding to effectively leverage and prioritize different trends and influences in this space
- Progressive thought leadership, innovation and implementation mindset – as indicated by a demonstrated record of developing and delivering high impact and successful consumer products Insights. Track record of taking calculated risks for the long-term benefit of the organization and is thereby considered an extremely progressive thought leader
