I am currently the BizOps and Strategy Manager at Swing Education. Swing is a marketplace solution where we connect schools/districts with our pool of substitute teachers to make learning for students free of interruptions. We currently operate in seven states (CA, AZ, TX, IL, NJ, NY, and DC). I joined the org back in October 2019. During that time, Swing was growing nearly 2x YoY and was on route for series C until COVID hit. Fortunately, we started to see the business pick up when schools went back in person (March 2021). Given the current landscape of the teacher/sub shortage, our positioning in this market is very valuable. I am very excited to see the growth of Swing in the next few years, especially since we are ramping up for Series C this summer!
The BizOps team at Swing helps drive strategic planning for both sides of the business (B2B/B2C) and provide operational support when it comes down to measuring business performance (OKRs/KPIs) and building out internal dashboards/reporting. We also work closely with teams to help efficiently streamline operational processes and tooling. The team is also growing this team from 1 person (myself) to 4 folks. I recently hired an associate and am in process of looking for someone in SalesOps and BI.
