Job Overview:
The Senior Analyst/Chief of Staff position at Interchange Capital Partners is a pivotal role that serves as a direct extension of the President. This multifaceted position not only encompasses strategic planning, operational expertise, and administrative support but also requires a deep understanding of tax, legal, business consulting, and mergers and acquisitions as the successful candidate will be heavily involved in client meetings and have a key part in creating meeting presentations, analyzing financial statements, and developing bespoke deliverables for ultra-high net worth clients. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic and Cultural Alignment:
- Act as a strategic advisor to the President, providing valuable insights and support for both internal and client-focused projects, including tax strategies and M&A opportunities.
- Play a key role in fostering and driving cultural alignment throughout the organization, especially during times of change or adversity.
- Lead and champion long-term strategic initiatives critical to the firm's success, including business consulting engagements.
Financial, Legal, and Business Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of complex financial, legal, and tax structures, demonstrating persistence in tackling intricate issues.
- Transform various documents into formats aligned with the overarching vision, such as consolidated balance sheets, cash flow statements, and entity flow charts.
- Offer expertise in mergers and acquisitions, from due diligence to deal execution and post-merger integration.
Client and Partner Relations:
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with external partners and serve as the President’s representative in high-level interactions with clients, prospects, and industry professionals, maintaining composure in demanding situations.
Administrative Duties:
- Efficiently manage the President's office, including email correspondence, calendar scheduling, and travel arrangements.
- Actively participate in calls and meetings on behalf of the President, facilitating information gathering and providing valuable input.
Mentorship and Talent Development:
- Fulfill the role of a mentor and supervisor for junior analysts within the organization, fostering their professional growth and perseverance in their roles.
Other Responsibilities:
- Serve as a presentation-builder for the President, ensuring high-quality materials for various business engagements.
- Oversee internal operational efficiencies and effectively resolve ad hoc issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
Educational and Professional:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree in Law, Tax, or Business is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within sectors catering to ultra-high-net-worth family business clients.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, or similar presentation software.
- Experience in financial modeling, due diligence, and legal analysis as it relates to mergers and acquisitions.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Other:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively lead teams.
