Role description

​

The Vice President of Strategic Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing operational performance and driving strategic initiatives across the organization. This position leads cross-functional operations, ensures effective processes for property acquisition and management, and aligns day-to-day activities with long-term business goals. The role involves managing P&L for key business units, developing and executing strategic plans, and monitoring operational metrics to support growth and efficiency. The Vice President will collaborate with leadership to improve customer service standards, optimize project delivery, and implement best practices in operations management.

Regular responsibilities include:

• Reviewing financial and operational reports
• Guiding project teams
• Identifying process improvements
• Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills to design, implement, and refine workflows and processes across the organization.
• Candidates should possess robust P&L Management skills to oversee budgets, financial performance, and profitability for business units and projects.
• Candidates should possess a customer-focused mindset and Customer Service skills to ensure high-quality service for residents, partners, and investors.
• Candidates should possess Strategic Planning skills to set long-term goals, define operational strategies, and support organizational growth.
• Candidates should possess Project Management skills to lead complex initiatives, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Extensive leadership experience in operations or strategy within real estate, housing, or related industries is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with proficiency in using data to guide operational improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
